NAMIWalks 2014 RAISED $130,807!

Thanks to our 2014 Team Captains, Walkers, Sponsors and Donors,
NAMI Greater Cleveland was able to:

  • Answer 2,421 calls on our helpline.
  • Offer educational classes such as Family-to-Family,
           Understanding Mental Illness and Basics for 75 Family members. 
  • Visit 916 patients in the psychiatric floors at area hospitals
    through our Hospital Network Program. 
  • Add VIDA, a six-week, Spanish language educational
                       program for Latina women with depression and anxiety.
  • Expand its programming to better serve minority populations. 
  • Host 18 support groups for 1,377 peers and family members
    throughout Cuyahoga County. 
  • Offer community information programs. 
  • Maintain our website: 12,843 visits in 2014

NAMI Greater Cleveland offers  Support Groups throughout Cuyahoga County.
 

We offer Wellness Support Groups for
Peers(individuals living with mental illness)
& Family/Caregivers Support Groups.
Some specialty groups include: Spousal,
Young Families, ADHD for teens and Adults,
Dual Diagnosis, Women's Empowerment, Spiritual, Art Journaling, Hispanic  and
Mind, Body and Spirit.

OUTSTANDING AFFILIATE FOR 2014

NAMI GC Board Members, volunteers
and staff attended the
2014 National Convention
in Washington D.C. to accept the award.

The Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans (SAV) Act 
was named in honor of
Clay Hunt a Marine
who served our country honorably. 
This law will help provide necessary
reforms, accountability, and community
mental health access for service
members and veterans.

Clay dedicated himself to helping others. 
We hope this law will continue his efforts
an  important step in addressing the
mental health of our veterans and service members. For more of Clay's story or to
