Welcome to the NAMI Chelan Douglas web site from beautiful Washington state! 











NAMI Chelan Douglas is a group of volunteers, committed to providing free and low cost support and education for people with mental illness, as well as their families and friends in Chelan and Douglas Counties of Washington State.  We advocate for quality care, and fight for the rights and interests of anyone with mental illness, particularly for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Brett McDonald, MS LMHC is a private practice mental health counselor who specializes in treating people with Eating Disorders. Brett has been a board member for over a year and is excited to begin her role as President. Brett brings with her a wealth of information and a passion for advocating for those struggling with mental illness. Please be sure to welcome and congratulate Brett. We look forward to great new members, Cindy Ripley and Beth Widby. Welcome all!!!!



· Open to all, 5-6:30pm, 1st Monday of the month at Recovery Innovations, 701 Miller Street, Wenatchee.


· Open to all, 7-9pm 3rd Tuesday of the month at RiverWest Assisted Living, 900 N. Western Ave., Wenatchee, (the building in the back). Most meetings feature a speaker on a mental health topic from 7-7:30pm. On February 21st Brett McDonald will be speaking about mental health and eating disorders.

Eating Disorders Seminar

On Monday July 9th from 6-7:30 pm at Confluence Tech Center, 285 Technology Waly (Olds Station, Wenatchee) A FREE presentaion on the disorders an treatment will be offered. Eating disorders have the highest rate of mortality of any mental illness and is the #1 cause of death in girls and young women. Please join us for this informative evening.

NAMI WALK for mental health awareness and against stigma is being held Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Kirkland. If you want to help find event sponsors (65% of sponsorship comes right back to our community) or if you would like to participate in the walk
