NAMI Gwinnett Mission

“The Mission of NAMI Gwinnett is to Provide Support, Education, and Advocacy for those people in our community with mental illnesses and those people that care for them. We advocate for a complete community system of services that would help the mentally ill in their Recovery so they can be reintegrated into the community and become productive citizens.”

NAMI Gwinnett Goals

  • To provide emotional support to those with parents, relatives and friends of persons with mental illnesses and individuals with a mental illness

  • To promote education, research and study relating to the best treatment and care for mentally ill children, adolescents, and adults

  • To advocate for the rights of and for a comprehensive system of care for persons with mental illnesses

  • To reduce stigma by providing education and information about mental illnesses to those persons affected by them, and to the general public
