Crisis Housing

Putnam Rose House
A peer-run hospital diversion service, it is designed to accept people experiencing crisis or emotional distress. It assists people in learning how to look at crisis as opportunity for growth and change, and break the cycle of going from home to crisis to hospital. It is a self-referral service located in Kent, NY. This house is a comfortable environment staffed by highly trained peer staff who understand the trauma of crisis. The house contains literature and activities that aid in teaching one new wellness skills and offers a person-centered approach to recovery and improved quality of life. It is sponsored by PEOPLE, Inc. They accept guests Thursday through Sunday evenings and can take referrals seven days a week.
