Family Support Groups

  • We offer one NAMI Family Support Group.  The schedule is as follows:

1.   NAMI's Waukesha County Mental Health Center Family Support Group

      1501 Airport Rd, Waukesha

      4th Wednesday of every month (except June, July and December)

      6:30pm Family Support Group

      In the multipurpose room inside the Mental Health Center

Peer Support Groups

  • We offer 2 different NAMI Peer Support Groups.  The schedule is as follows:

1.   NAMI Peer Support Group

      For individuals with mental illness.

      NAMI Waukesha

      217 Wisconsin Ave. Suite 300

      Waukesha, WI 53186

      1st and 3rd Thursday of every month 7-8:30pm

2.   NAMI's Waukesha County Mental Health Center Peer Support Group

      1501 Airport Rd, Waukesha

      4th Wednesday of every month (except June, July and December)

      7:00-8:30 pmPeer Support Group

      Just down the hall from the multipurpose room

Additional NAMI Support Groups

  1. The Care Connection

      For all individuals affected by mental illness (familiy members included)

      St. William Church - Vercelli House 

      440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha

      Every Tuesday

      6:30pm to 8:30pm

At each meeting everyone benefits from hearing about the experiences, challenges and successes of both groups during a combined session.  The meeting then splits into three separate groups: Consumers; Young Adult Consumers; Family and Friends.  This format provides everyone with a confidential, safe environment in which to discuss the difficult issues they face and develop ways to cope with them.      

2.   Survivors Helping Survivors Support Group: 

      For all family members and friends of a loved one who has completed suicide.
