NAMI Lane County presents many activities during the year. Generally we put on four educational programs in the community each year. Recent programs have included Crisis Management, Setting Boundaries, Housing, and other community forums on such topics as Crisis Intervention Training.
The NAMI Board of Directors meets monthly, and each May they have the Annual Meeting and Potluck.
Consumers enjoy the annual picnic, held in August, and benefit from the Gift-Wrapping party, with NAMI members wrapping donated items as holiday gifts.
At the festive Holiday Dinner, an outstanding person from our community is honored with the Bill Uhlhorn Award, presented to the individual who has made a significant contribution to NAMI's goals.

NAMI Walks - Sunday, May 18, 2014
Launched in 2003, the NAMI Northwest Walk helps raise public awareness and crucial funds for affiliates around the state of Oregon.
Over 2,000 people from all across the state of Oregon, as well as Southwest Washington, join together to make a statement that recovery is possible, that mental health matters, and that people living with mental illness are a valuable part of our community.
The walk is also the largest fundraiser for NAMI affiliates in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Ninety percent of funds raised support local NAMI programs and activities. The walk also helps fight stigma and provides a great opportunity to meet people from all over the state.
We may carpool and/or share a van going from Eugene to Portland, giving you a chance to get better acquainted with other great people in our community.
You can continue to help us make a difference. Be a walker, a donor, or a sponsor! There is no cost to register. You can register the day of the event. If you can't join the walk, you can still donate to NAMI Northwest Walk (Lane County) up to 60 days after the event.
