 Support Groups

NAMI Lane County provides multiple opportunities for people to attend a support group each month. You are encouraged to come to these meetings to find caring information to help you understand and cope with issues surrounding mental illnesses.


NAMI Group Descriptions

NAMI Connection - a peer run drop in support group open to anyone facing a mental health challenge.  It is a confidential, supportive environment where one can find information and advocacy as well as support.  The National NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group site has more information on how the group works.

NAMI Friends & Family Support Group - for family members and friends of those who experience a mental illness.

NAMI Family to Family - Ongoing Support is for graduates of NAMI’s 12-week educational class for family members and allies of someone who suffers from a brain disorder.

Friendship Group - This group is for consumers only.

NAMI Friends and Family Support Group  2nd, 3rd, 4th  and 5th Thurs­day at NAMI Lane County Resource Center, 2411 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Eugene, 7:00-8:30 PM. Note: LOCATION CHANGE!

NAMI Family To Family Support Group (for graduates of F2F Class)  in Room 201, Lane County Behavioral Services (LCBHS), 2411 MLK Blvd., Eugene, 7:00-8:30 PM.

NAMI Connection

  • Tuesdays, First United Methodist Church (FUMC), 1376 Olive Street. Eugene, 3:30-5:00 PM;
  • Wednesdays, NAMI Lane County Resource Center, 2411 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Eugene, 6:00-7:30 PM.


Cottage Grove

NAMI Friends and Family Support Group  

  • 2nd and 4th Mondays, 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Healing Matrix, 632 Main St. Free, drop-in, no registration.

NAMI Friend­ship Group  Thursdays, 10:00 AM, Jack Sprats, 510 E. Main Street. Free, drop-in, no registration, for individuals with mental health issues and family members.  

NAMI Connection—Peer Facilitated Support Groups   Free, drop-in, no registration

NAMI Florence Support Group Peace Harbor Hospital Cafeteria, 4th Thursday, 6:30-8:00, Facilitator: Monica Kosman.

 NAMI Volunteers at the Johnson Unit


NAMI Volunteers provide support and information to families of patients on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Johnson Unit, in conjunction with the Information Program provided by the Johnson Unit.
