The Recovery Movement: Past, Present and Future
Matthew S. Costanzo, Coordinator of Recovery Services, Pilgrim Psychiatric Center
The recovery movement has a long history both as a treatment approach and as a civil rights movement. In the past 15 years it's become the dominant mode of thinking in public mental health. We'll talk about where we've been, what's happening now, and how together we can get where we're going.
The meeting starts at 7:30 pm in the Sloman Auditorium at The Zucker Hillside Hospital – 266th Street and 76th Avenue, Glen Oaks, NY. Caring and Sharing meets beforehand at 6:00 pm.
