major depression,
obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD),
Tourette Syndrome and anxiety disorders.

Our office is located at the Albany Methodist Church

980 Stannage Avenue, Albany

As of Aug 2010, we are now on Facebook so check us out.

Note: The office is staffed by volunteers and thus is not open on a regular basis.

If you want to come in to talk or check out our library of books and videos, please call first so a time can be arranged.

NAMI East Bay offers the following support meetings:

Support  and Share Group for Families of Adults  is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  The next meetings are

March 11, April 8, May 13,  2015

Support and Share Group for  Families of Children, Adolescents and Young Adults*  is held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.  Next meetings are

 March 17, April 21, May 19, 2015

*Note:  Our Tuesday meetings will now include the families of young adults  in their twenties.  Oftentimes this is the time of an individual's  first break and the issues for their families are different in many respects from those of families whose relatives have been ill for a very long time.

Support meetings are free to members and non-members. These meetings offer a chance to talk with others who understand and can give emotional support plus share ways they have found to cope.  Come in through side gate, go through multi-purpose room, come through door and go upstairs.

There is comfort in knowing you are not alone.

All meetings are held at Albany United Methodist Church, located at 980 Stannage Avenue (corner of Marin and Stannage in Albany).  Meetings run from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Enter the Stannage door and come upstairs.

Call (510) 524-1250 for more information.

Note on using this website:  We want this website to be user-friendly, so feel free to give us feedback.  You might want to explore our "umbrella" website at for information on all the mental illnesses, national legislation and updates, plus there is an extensive discussion group list; it's a tremendously rich site.   On this website, we want to particularly point out two highly informative links you might appreciate:  At the  Programs page, thirteen years of notes on our speaker meetings are available as a link, as written by Tom Thomas.  Under Resources, the Medications link may be helpful and we will be updating that as soon as possible.
