On Saturday, September 20th over 350 people joined together at Frame Park for NAMIWalks in Waukesha 2014 to celebrate mental illness recovery, honor those who have lost their lives to mental illness, and to help raise funds, combat stigma, and promote awareness. This was our most successful NAMIWalk event ever and for the first time ever we surpassed our $50,000 goal. We have raised $51,548 so far and we are still accepting donations for NAMIWalks until November 20th so there is still time to donate! Thank you to everyone who supported NAMIWalks in Waukesha this year and helped make it such a success!

NAMI Waukesha Care Connection Support Group
NAMI Waukesha is excited to announce a new support group, The Care Connection. The group will support individuals wrestling with Bi-Polar, Depression, ADHD, Schizophrenia or any other diagnoses. The focus of the group is to support everyone affected by mental illness. This includes the person diagnosed (Consumer) and, Family and Friends.
At each meeting everyone benefits from hearing about the experiences, challenges and successes of both groups during a combined session. The meeting then splits into three separate groups: Consumers; Young Adult Consumers; Family and Friends. This format provides everyone with a confidential, safe environment in which to discuss the difficult issues they face and develop ways to cope with them.
The Care Connection will meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Vercelli Building, on the grounds of St. William Catholic Church located at 440 N. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha.
