Krystal Broussard's Personal Fundraising Page

Welcome to my personal web page for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness.

I, Krystal Broussard, have created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to me, because I myself was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in January of 2007. Once I finally had a diagnosis, it felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I had medication to keep me stable, a doctor to talk to, my family to talk to, my friends to talk to, and what seemed like a whole world of people to talk to.

I suffered with this disease for almost 10 years before I was diagnosed; now I can happily say that after 4 years of trial and error, I have finally found a combination of medications that has helped me change from a woman suffering from Bipolar Disorder, to a woman LIVING with Bipolar Disorder.

With the money that you donate, NAMI can help tons of people like me get the help they need to learn to LIVE with their disease.

I would also like to ask you to come and walk with me or to donate to support my participation in this year's NAMIWalks. Visit my personal walker page to sign up: It features a link to my team's page,, where you can see who else is walking with me. Any amount will make a difference for NAMI, but please try to give generously.

Both NAMI and I appreciate your donation.

Thank you for your support.
