Todd Henderson's Personal Fundraising Page

Welcome to my web page for "Shifting Sands: His Hell. Her Prison." and the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness. I have created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to me.

With your purchase of my new novella--"Shifting Sands: His Hell. Her Prison."--I will donate 10% of the book's profits to NAMI.

I wrote my novella to assure the mentally ill and their families that they’re not alone, and when they’re in the depths of despair that they do have reason to hope for a better day tomorrow. While “Shifting Sands” is a work of fiction it pulls from my own bipolar experiences, including numerous hospitalizations, endless diagnosis, suicide attempts, countless psychiatrists and therapists, med after med, and on and on.

“Shifting Sands” is the up and down life journey of a mentally ill husband and father, Scott Walters, who is caught in a tug of war between God and the Devil, counseled by a dead girl who claims to be his guardian angel, fights dependence on alcohol, and seeks dramatic medical alternatives in a desperate effort to bring some degree of normalcy to his life with his wife and two sons.

You can order a softcover or eBook (Nook, Kindle, etc.) at: * * * * Most online booksellers around the globe.

At only 60 pages it’s a quick, page-turning read designed to be at times frank, hopeful, shocking, insightful, funny, and full of aha moments.

For the first 100 books purchased I will donate an additional $1 per book to NAMI.
