NAMI Leaders Participate in the National Network to Eliminate Disparities in Behavioral Health Care (NNED)

NNED's mission is to build and sustain a national network structure to link excellent work conducted around the country and to promote policies, practices, standards and research to eliminate disparities in mental health and substance abuse care for diverse populations.

Supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the NNED is a network of national and local associations and organizations dedicated to improving behavioral health services for culturally, racially and ethnically diverse populations in the United States.

We are proud to announce that members of the NAMI family—Majosé Carrasco, Nancy Carter, and Can Troung—will serve as members of the NNED Steward Group along with representatives of national, state, and community-based organizations, family associations, users of services and innovative research and technical assistance centers. They will oversee development and functioning of the NNED.
