A Tribute to Marc Ya Deau

Welcome to Marc's web page for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness. This was established by Jacques, in Marc's memory - I did not view Marc's illness as his defining characteristic, but NAMI is a well regarded organization that helps the mentally ill. Those who were at Marc's service remember his father's discussion about society and medicine failing Marc, and others with mental illness. I think that NAMI is a worthwhile charity that strives to address these failings. I have created this fundraising page because NAMI, and the work they do, is very important to me.

Donating to me through this page is easy, fast and secure.

Any amount will make a difference for NAMI, but please try to give generously.

Both NAMI and I appreciate your donation.

Thank you for your support.

I knew Marc in high-school. He sat in front of me in English class. He was the first guy from school to call me up for a date. I wish I had taken the time to get to know him better. I suffer from mental illness issues myself and was saddened to learn of Marc's passing. I was looking up ppl. from the past and came upon this site. It is sad that so many people succumb to this illness and I almost have myself. For a good source of spiritual guidance please go to www.jw.org.
